The 4-channel CheckVideo® appliance incorporates advanced video analytics technology, a video server and video recording, all in a single device. It enables cameras to be used as intelligent sensors for video verification of alarms. Built-in advanced video analytics technology looks for prespecified objects in the camera field of view such as people and vehicles.

When a prespecified object is detected in the alarm zone, a digital alarm signal is sent via the Internet to the monitoring center or you can self monitor and have the video clips sent to an email address with a 10 second full color video clip, including pre-alarm video, camera ID, time, type of alarm (person/vehicle), and site ID. Upon viewing the video clip, the operator can quickly determine whether people or vehicles have entered the alarm zone and verify or nullify the alarm. The alarm clip can be viewed using the CheckVideo Software Service1 or can be integrated with the central station automation software interface.

The CheckVideo appliance can be used to augment an existing video recording system or provide complete DVR functionality by connecting any USB external hard drive for 24/7 recording. Live and recorded video can easily be accessed remotely. Unlike passive infrared detectors (PIRs), which require an onsite presence to accurately set up the area of coverage, the CheckVideo appliance can be configured offsite. Installers need only to plug in cameras and connect to the Internet. All appliance configuration is done via a web browser from any location.
