WDR is an exciting function created with contemporary digital image technology for dramatically improving contrast of a pictures that is exposed to overwhelming light sources (usually the natural sunlight) – which may drive the target to become too dark or silhouetted. WDR makes double exposures for each picture, with two different shutter speeds – one in normal speed and the other in high speed. It then super-imposes the two to make one picture, and bring the contrast back into normal range.
